Who Is An Apprentice?

Who is an Apprentice?

An apprentice is an employee who combines on- and off-the-job training to obtain a trade qualification, which typically takes 4 years to complete (competency-based training and progression, however, can help reduce the time spent in an apprenticeship).

All apprentices must have a formal training contract, which is signed by the apprentice and the employer through the nominated ANSP and registered with the state training authority. apprentices must attend a registered TAFE/Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or other agreed training provider to complete the required off-the-job training.

Your TAFE or RTO will, in conjunction with Impact Apprentices and the apprentice, prepare and sign a recognised training plan, and apprentices will be registered with Exemplar to complete their profiling cards
